Brought this to a cabin weekend with three friends I hadn't seen in a year, and the exercises got us past the usual small talk by the second card. The 52 prompts range from silly to surprisingly deep, so we could pick what fit the mood.
Pulled these out at a dinner with old friends and the questions got us way past the usual catch-up talk. The exercises especially made us actually listen instead of just waiting to speak. We ended up staying two hours longer than planned, so I'd say they do their job.
